This one focuses on women power and how a women can take her stand defending the whole corrupt and inhuman system no matter what her profession is . its a brave attempt by the director to showcase a film in contrast with the great Rani Laxmi Bai at the backdrop and narrate a film at the forefront beautifully . The only drawback for this film remains to be that its dramatized to the very high level which at points looks unrealistic but over all can be watched once in the cinemas near you.

STORY & SCREENPLAY

The screenplay could have been a bit better with few dramatic moments skipped out to make it a worth watch all together but as a whole package the film has emotion action to keep you gripped till the end and a touching climax . The Story is about Begum Jaan and her complete team who are sex workers and own a place away from the village their place which they consider as a palace is full of colors , fun and they stay there in complete unity but one fine day a notice strikes their doors a notice to evacuate the place as a international border is supposed to be set up which passes right from the middle of their place , they deny evacuating the place on multiple requests they stand for the fact that though India has got independence the women of the country are still not safe and nor they have their share of freedom so Begum jaan trashes this request after which a lot of violence acts come their way some loose life but still begum jaan stands tall she tries every possible way to stand by her decision , midst this a few betrayals , challenges come along but they all stand tall but then whats the  outcome?  Does Begum Jaan suceed in retaining her palace ? Are thier lifes spared? who are the ones who betray her? for all the questions to be answered walk in to the nearest cinema halls and watch this movie this weekend

PERFOMANCES

Vidya Balan is the whole and soul of this film no one could do the role of begum with such ease as Vidya she has done her best completely a intense role coming to the negative role Chunky Pandey as Kabira i bet you will not be able to even recognise him such is his makeover and he has been excellent and cruel to the level best to suit well as a Villan . FInally the rest of the cast has done thier job equally well

FINAL VERDICT

Its a bit heavily dramatised but can be watched once in the cinemas given the theme and perfomances from the lead pairs

This ones a mind blowing narrative which focuses on women safety and the way society has its own perspective towards women and how justice is denied in the name of criminal or a rapist being juvenile or proved juvenile this movie has a strong point to focus on ie it doesn't matter whether such cruel and life harassing crime has been done by a juvenile or a adult crimes like rape need  stringent of the punishment in both the cases and no exception of any kind should be allowed . This revenge saga is a perfect movie to watch for another milestone for KFI , A movie to remember

STORY & SCREENPLAY

The story is well written with a screenplay which transits and splits into different parts and scenarios but finally joins magically to deliver a message for life , loved the way the movie is stitched together with various events and happenings . The story starts with 2 journalists who have passion to do something meaningful for the women who are unsafe in this country they are at the same time demanding for  equal justice for crimes like rape no mater the criminal is a juvenile they spread awareness around with street plays etc and they have named this project Niebhaya and alongside this is a story of a American lady who has come to Bengaluru on a mission which is at the begening not revealed she is almost the mystery girl till a few mins of movie and slowly the plot unveils and we get to know she is on her way seeking revenge from those  bloody monsters and criminals who have raped her innocent friend and killed her but due to power and position they have managed to proved themselves juvenile and come out free with minimum of the punishment . Now does she seek revenge what are the happenings that happen around when she starts her journey how does it go , how are the journalists related to her ? Does she accomplish her mission? Or she is suppressed again by power and politicians ? What is the final outcome? For all these answers walk in to the nearest cinema halls and watch this movie this weekend

PERFOMANCES

The female leads Nivedhitha, Amrutha & Lauren spartano have done a great job and got justice to their roles , rest follows the ensemble cast who has equally done a good job

FINAL VERDICT

Its definetly a worth watch at cinemas it has a wonderful message to take over and a appeal to our system that its high time to change and get stringent rules for crime against women irrespective of the criminals age , position etc . What can be more inspiring than a 13 year old girl climbing the Mt Everest and the story being real to its facts . YOU WILL RETURN BACK CLAPPING AT THE CLIMAX.A beautifully portrayed sports reality drama which shows us that will power and a goal is all you need to reach heights once you have a reason to reach your goal your family background and all the other factors don't just count. I would recommend watching this in the nearest cinema halls , amazingly inspiring movie

STORY & SCREENPLAY

The screenplay is perfectly written and stitched to a perfect run time ie it is well edited nothing extra or nothing less its narrated the way its supposed to be and sticks to its facts , the direction is commendable . Climax is all about goosebumps . The story is about this small town girl Poorna who resides at this village where literacy rate is low and v low priority is give to education, all the elders wait is for the age just to get the girls married realising this poorna gets herself admitted in a school at a nearby village which provides free food , and education to save the cost of fees her parents agree to admit her and thats where she realises even these schools run fraud in the name of funds provided by govt and she plans to return back to her village and escapes from her school but to her luck exactly during that time a IPS officer who has love for the children and aims to do something for them opts out of his post to be a social welfare officer for the state he personally visits the schools which have v low drop out figures and takes corrective decisions to set it right and post this a lot of extra coCaricular activities along with academics go on and among all the extra caricular activity scheme one turns out to be mountain climbing where children are taken to a nearby mountain and trained with the basics and thats where poorna explores her love for mountain climbing and she takes it up seriously and she is supported by the officials and school authority but amidst she faces a lot of problems personally now what are those problems ? How does she tackle all these problems ? Does she succeed in being selected for the my Everest summit? How does she climb the mount at such extreme conditions and weather? Is what the movie is all about

PERFOMANCES

Aditi inamdar who has played the role of Poorna is the ultimate show stealer of this movie with her stellar performance , coming to Rahul bose as a director as well as the Ips officer has really justified a role of simpleton and you would love him for his work . And rest follows the ensemble cast

its a worth watch at cinemas completely inspiring and time and again i say support movies like these which really make sense to collect high profits at box office . I highy recommend watching this movie in the cinemas only

Decent Timepass watch which lacks the thrill instinct 3 star

The prequel to the film Baby has some curious and to watch for moments but over all lacks that instinct of being a complete thriller , the climax is definetly amazing , film has a few comic links inherited from Baby ,Akshay Kumars presence makes it special and Tapsee in action is definetly something that you would love watching. The total runtime could have been reduced a bit as at points film drags.So over all u can watch it as a decent one time film.

The screenplay is written the neeraj pandey way as similar to his patriotic flicks with a background score that of Baby which gives you a feel of the film baby at parts but the run time is quite prolonged which makes it look dragged at few points but the way story unfolds and transits from various happenings is cool. The story is about this girl named Shabana whom we have already seen assisting Akshay Kumar in baby so this movie focuses on how she was got on board for the agency to serve the nation , Shabana a young college going girl who has already gone thorough hardships in her personal life at a very tender  age because of her father is now trying to love her life she is ready to accept love coming her way but that day turns out to be the biggest loss of her life when few ruthless gangsters come their way and amidst the fight her love of life the guy she loves is murdered ,now shabana seeks revenge and the cops seem to try and dissolve this case as the gangsters seem to belong to a famous politicians family and she looses hope but them Manoj Bajpee who is the head of this agency which works for the nation gives her an offer with conditions and terms attached . Now what is that offer all about , does it favour her in taking revenge and what are the terms and conditions attached along this deal , does she agree or back off? And what is the rest of the mission all about and hows is it carried along is what the movie is all about

PERFOMANCES

Tapsee Pannu has put on immense effort and showcased her talent for the character Shabana she has done fight sequences to the level more than just convincing she has been bold , bright and energetic as Shabana , coming to Akshay Kumar he steals the complete lime light once he is on screen and coming to Manoj Bajpee he has done par justice to his role as the chief his dialouge delivery is just woow and he is as natural as possible

FINAL VERDICT

Though the film is a bit dull when it comes to thrill it wont disappoint you anyways you can go ahead and watch it once  in the cinemas . The climax is winning .

There are rare of these kinda movies which focus on the real issues in the society and this ones definetly intense attempt for a cinema
Which wins with its plot . But the sad fact being its a low budget film and most of them would miss watching this in the cinemas . But i would like to say support movies like these to mint higher profits at the box office so that we have sensible cinema time and again.

STORY & SCREENPLAY

The screenplay is very well written and edited to have a perfect runtime which makes it a movie which serves its point and theme without being dragged for no reason , the transition from first half to post interval seamlessly goes on with a decent narration . The climax just blows u high on curiosity and excitement . The story is about this young girl Anarkali who sings at the local functions and fairs organised in the town  and dances along with her unique steps and entertains the audience and in this film she is the Anarkali of a place named Aarah in Bihar , she is quite famous and known for her way of song of dance and people go crazy for her perfomance everything seems perfect until the day this man in power named VC publicly molests her and calls it love and post the incident he tries convincing her but she stands tall with the fact that she is a singer but that doesn't mean she has no self respect,but even the cops do not support her and she is labelled a sex worker as this man who molested her is in power and is misusing it as he wants he asks her to compromise in numerous obscene ways but she denies and that costs her high and she finally leaves the town . So is this the end of Anarkalis existence in Aarah? Or does she come back in a way no one ever expects? What happens to this cruel politician? Does she prove that all the allegations on her are false? Does she get back her self respect exploited by unfair means? For all these questions to be answered walk in to the nearest cinema halls and watch this movie this weekend

PERFOMANCES

Swara Bhaskar as Anarkali of Aarah has been raw and natural to her best and the accent she has adopted for her role is perfect which seems she is totally absorbed into her character she delivers a performance to remember . Coming to Sanjay Mishra as the bad politician he too has done justice to his role  and the rest follows the ensemble cast who has been equally good

FINAL VERDICT

Its a worth watch at cinemas the story plot and execution is intense and naturally deployed into a story which is convincing. walk in to the nearest cinema halls and watch this movie

 Everything is just so soulful and soothing the VFX and Holographic 3D projection of Anushka as Ghost is crisp and winning, songs are Touching ,narration till the interval is so positive and mind blowing only thing that fails for the movie is its dragged 2nd half which is extended and exaggerated to a level which extremely bores you at parts . Over all it can be watched once for those humorous moments and all the love emotion and touching flavour of story it has.

The screenplay is backed with humour , emotion with narration and transition in sync with 2 parlel stories until interval post which the film gets dull due to its dragged and over stretched sequences . The climax is touching . The story is about this young girl and a young boy from the village Phillaur both possess immense love for music but these were the times when music and singing were considered as something bad and had no respect from the society amdist this these 2 youngsters carry their love for music in their own way and then slowly fall in love and tat changes both of their lives completely now how does shashi become a ghost ? What happens to roop kumar who plays the love interest of sashi ? What is the story at the backdrop and who are these new people in the front end where shasi goes in as a ghost and what has the tree got to do with all this ? What happenes finally? PERFOMANCE

Anushka Sharma as Shashi has nailed it completely she has been super awesome with her performance and coming to Diljith he has too done par justice to his role , and the newbies suraj sharma and mehrene have done their job equally well

FINAL VERDICT

Its bit slow paced but if you can bear with its worth watching in the cinemas as it has got a nice story to portray by the end . You will come out with a warm happy feeling watching this movie .

A caliber of actor like Govinda choosing a movie of this sort for his comeback is more hurting then anything else . There is absolutely nothing in the film , just a deliberate attempt to showcase heroism , camera work and VFX is horrific few sequences have a dreamy background added through VFX which looks purely cartoonish,there is no connect in any scene and  randomly songs keep popping up and Govinda dances along  with absolutely no scenario defined. The climax plays @ 5x speed with absolutely no sense

STORY & SCREENPLAY

There is no existence of screenplay in this film every thing that happens in the film is purely random and has nothing to do with the story .  The story is about a dynamic cop who plans a master game to bring in a change in the country by eliminating every corrupt and cruel politician and he names the file abhinaya chakra where is every one is just acting to be some one and then the rest follows and trust me you would keep wondering about what is actually happening in the film , a villain who has a unique laughter which resembles a siren keeps repeatedly laughing for no reason in his siren way , another gangster speaks in a smooch tone and no one knows why ? Govinda keeps dancing every 20 mins for no reason , a space centre with a kiddish aircraft entering into a cartoonish space centre carrying the villan is shown and no one knows why ?

PERFOMANCES

Govinda is known for his impeccable comic time and he is a natural actor no doubt but this movie he has tried hard to act when he actually dosent need to try hard as he is a natural actor but that has made it look worse then ever ,the rest of the cast of the cast has equally done bad job in the movie . Only Ashutosh rana in the role of gangster has been convincing with his performance

FINAL VERDICT

If you just want to watch Govinda on his comeback go for it , else there is not a single reason to watch this movie in the cinemas
